This post is in response to a comment from Eve Thirkle.
I happened across your family tree of Josiah Box and Elizabeth Stiles when researching my Kreamer family line (my father’s line) and was amazed to discover a link to the Willett family (my mother’s line) – still need to see whether it is the same families and where the link occurs if there is one but thank you for publishing the tree.
This post addresses the second relationship – between the Eve Thirkle’s Willett ancestors and the Willett family (which has been traced back to Colchester, Essex).
The Willett great (x3) grandfather of Eve Thirkle according to Eve’s research is a Carpenter, Thomas Willett b ~1804 in Milton, Kent.
I have not yet found a connection between the Willett’s of Colchester, Essex and any Willetts whose ancestors originated in Kent.
In Colchester, Thomas Willett (d 1808) is the furthest back I have got to date – he is the great grandfather of “Daylight Saving” Willett. All Colchester Thomas’s known children and grandchildren were christened in Colchester (1791-1806 & 1817-1839 respectively).
(William Willett of daylight saving fame of course lived for a time in Petts Wood, Chislehurst (now in Greater London), and Wilfred Willett, his nephew who lived in Tonbridge, Kent.)
